Redundancy and Entropy Within Music.

Redundancy = something that is predictable/conventional within a message. It is usually something you should expect from a message or convention
Entropy = This is when something completely unpredictable is conveyed from a message / convention. If something is entropic, it contains unexpected elements.

In regards to my music video, 'Stronger - Kanye West' this video contains both aspects of entropy and redundancy. In terms of redundancy, the music video is redundant as the video ties in with the lyrics and dialogue from West.


 However the visuals individually are unexpected, and wouldn't be predicted as the mise en scene is mostly futuristic.

The video then moves on to a more redundant scene for videos of this genre, of West rapping into the camera, with a conventional background.
